Back ground UWESO Masulita Children's Village (MCV)
It commissioned in 1989, This institute is located in Wakiso district.
The Children’s Village
has three components: a children’s home, a farm and a vocational training
institute.
MCV has adequate space and infrastructure with a capacity to provide
alternative care and psychosocial support to 150 abandoned and former street
children at any given time according to assessment /approval by Ministry of
Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD).
The vocational institute has
two-level blocks that house administration offices, workshops and classrooms.
It also has adequate tools and equipment relevant for all the trades offered at
the institute
Our objectives
・Withdraw children from the street and rehabilitate and resettle them back to their home
・Provide marketable skills to the youth and adrescent
・Operate commercial faming to generate income
