Organisation chart
UWESO Governance structure is comprised of the Patron, General Assembly, National Executive Committee (NEC), the women Branch Executive Committees (BECs) and the women Sub-Branch Executive Committees (SBECs). All members are Ugandan citizens. The General Assembly is the highest body of organisation that convenes every two years to elect national executive committee (NEC) to for the next two years. The NEC is comprised of fifteen members whose focus is on strategic issues and advisory role to the Secretariat.
The Secretariat, located in Kampala, is headed by the Chief Executive Officer supported by a team of top managers and middle line managers who are professionals and technical experts in various fields and are responsible for the day-to-day execution of the national-wide programmes in line with UWESO five-year strategic plan. The organization has regional operational offices in Lira, Soroti, Mbale, Masaka, Hoima and Mbarara.
