We are pleased to share the latest updates from the USAID-funded Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) North East Activity in our semi-annual newsletter covering October 2023 to March 2024.
Key highlights:
- Viral Load suppression among OVC enrolled has improved from 86% at the end of December 2023 to 91 % by the end of March 2024. The Activity has successfully enrolled and retained in care 3320 children and 5505 adults totaling 8825 participants.
- 2142 Children of Female sex workers were supported with a range of tailored services.
- Financial literacy training was offered to 1113 Activity participants, enhancing their ability to provide for their families.
We have made significant strides in improving the lives of OVC in Busia, Katakwi, Kotido, Mbale, Soroti during this period and We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, stakeholders, and the community for their continued support.
