It commissioned in 1989, This institute is located in Wakiso district. 
The Children’s Village has three components: a children’s home, a farm and a vocational training institute. 
MCV has adequate space and infrastructure with a capacity to provide alternative care and psychosocial support to 150 abandoned and former street children at any given time according to assessment /approval by Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD). 
The vocational institute has two-level blocks that house administration offices, workshops and classrooms. It also has adequate tools and equipment relevant for all the trades offered at the institute
