UNICEF Uganda has supported the Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) by providing essential Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities to Masuliita Children’s Village (MCV).
The donation comprises essential sanitary facilities, including mobile toilets, handwashing stations, tents, and a diverse range of sports equipment, designed to cater for the holistic needs of the children.
With nearly 957 children and youth rescued from the streets currently residing at MCV, UNICEF’s assistance comes at a critical time. These facilities not only address immediate hygiene and sanitation needs but also foster a sense of dignity, security, and belonging among the children, empowering them to thrive despite their challenging circumstances.
UWESO extends its gratitude to UNICEF for this vital support, which will significantly improve conditions at MCV and contribute to the well-being of the children.
Through this partnership, UNICEF and UWESO reaffirm their commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of every child, ensuring that no child is left behind.

As Zig Ziglar Snr defined Leadership to being the ability to first help others achieve their desires in life , then theirs will follow after, UWESO thank you for practicing ZIGZIGLAR’s definition of leadership, through first helping the Uganda OVC, VC and Youth VC to first achieve their desires in life . This is what i refer to as building joy and happiness for the vulnerable children and youth
Thank you for the compliment, much appreciated.
